About Us J B Treasure & Co. Ltd. can trace their history back to 1857 when John Benjamin Treasure the founder began manufacturing glass tubing, which he then sold to the marine industry and local coal mines. Since then J B Treasure & Co has expanded into other specialised areas of glass production, all manufactured to the highest quality standards which is illustrated by our accreditation to ISO 9001, and our approved supplier status with Rolls Royce. The customer sectors in which we operate include the heating, lighting, chemical processing, instrumentation and optical industries, as well as our ability to offer specialist glass toughening. Apart from our wide range of standard products, we can produce small quantity or “one off” specials, to aid with design and development. We are also able to offer high pressure water jet cutting which can be used to process other materials than glass. . In many ways our production capability is unique as we have continually improved our glass processing technology, and much of our equipment has been custom built or adapted to meet requirements, and the needs of our customers. Our unique technology, and long tradition within the glass industry is reflected by our high levels of repeat business, and the recommendations that we receive from the larger glass manufacturers for our specialist products.
