Our Services & Processing
Processing is carried out using the latest machinery which is purpose built using our own in house design and development skills or specially designed and built to our requirements by the leading glass processing equipment manufacturers. Special processing can also be offered using a wide range of hand skills from our experienced workforce.

Although we specialise in producing glass components in smaller sizes, generally in sizes below 300mm square, we are capable of producing larger sizes, and can for example toughen glass up to 1600mm long and 800mm wide.

The following processing facilities are available and we are happy to give technical advice on request:

EDGE POLISHING:
Highly polished edges are available on all thickness of glass up to 25mm. Glass sizes as narrow as 50mm square can be polished.

PRECISION GRINDING:
Glasses can be produced in any thickness. Tolerances as tight as .005" or .1mm can be achieved on thickness, coupled with a good quality polish.

TOUGHENING:
All thickness from 4mm to 25mm can be toughened using our two toughening plants. Sizes from 100mm square can be toughened on our specially designed horizontal plant, smaller sizes and pressed glasses can be toughened using our vertical plant Glasses less than 4mm thick can also be heat strengthened. Toughened and heat strengthened borosilicate are also produced.ssing J B Treasure & Co Ltd

CUTTING:
Standard cutting is performed to a high degree of accuracy, tolerances of 0.5mm are standard and tighter tolerances can be achieved on request. We have a range of cutting tables, which are capable of producing large volumes of cut glasses to tight specifications. We can now also offer special shape cutting utilising high pressure water jet cutting.

DRILLING:
Using some of the latest equipment glasses can be accurately drilled and slotted. A wide range of sizes are readily available and specials can be produced on request.

FORMING AND BENDING:
We are skilled in producing small bent and formed components in our range of kilns and ovens. These components can be produced in both soda lime and borosilicate glass.

DECORATING:
We can offer our customers a decorating and printing service on glass components using screen printing and sandblasting techniques. This is available on both soda lime and borosilicate glass.

Whilst the above facilities are used to produce complete glass components, they are also available for processing work on customer’s own glasses, please contact us to discuss.
